How to Manage Your HeyCoach Data

Your HeyCoach data belongs to you. You can ask us to help you access, correct, delete, export, or limit the use of your personal data at any time.

If you request account deletion, your account and associated personal data will be permanently deleted or anonymized within one month of receiving your request, unless we are legally required or permitted to retain limited information.

Users age 13 and up

  1. Sign into the app at go.hey-coach.app.
  2. Navigate to the Profile section by tapping the icon at the bottom right.
  3. If you are a player on a team, tap the Account tab at the top right. All other users can skip this step.
  4. Tap the Delete Account button.

Users under 13

You must ask your coach to help manage your account. If for any reason your coach is unable to do so, you may contact us at support@hey-coach.app.

All users

You may alternatively request account deletion by contacting us at support@hey-coach.app.

Partial account deletion

If you wish to retain your account but delete some of your data, send us an email at support@hey-coach.app, with a complete explanation of what you wish to delete.

Other data rights

Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to:

  • request a copy of personal data we hold about you;
  • correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data;
  • receive certain data in a portable format;
  • object to or restrict some uses of your personal data;
  • withdraw consent where we rely on consent; and
  • opt out of marketing communications.

To make one of these requests, email support@hey-coach.app. We may need to verify your identity or authority before completing a request, especially for children, team-managed accounts, or requests that could disclose another person's data.

Data retention

After account deletion, we may retain limited information when required or permitted for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, accounting, or to complete and evidence your request.

We generally retain:

  • operational and security logs for up to 24 months;
  • historical product analytics and chat records that retain team or channel context for up to 24 months;
  • support and compliance request records for up to 7 years;
  • financial, contract, and business records for up to 7 years where needed; and
  • aggregated or anonymized analytics and team statistics indefinitely.

Historical analytics, logs, and chat records may retain team or channel context where that context cannot be removed without corrupting shared team records. We do not use retained records to profile or contact a deleted user.

Backups are retained until normal backup rotation expires. If deleted or anonymized data is restored from backup, we re-apply the deletion or anonymization request.
